I think the following sketches demonstrate that Morta's idea of 'human' has devolved in exactly the same way as his physical body. In other words Morta does not question his appearance because it matches his expectation of himself. The sketch he made of me shows that his concept of 'human' is not fixed on his own particular affliction and morphs to accept the breadth of deformity we see in the population of Grainville. This experiment is a clear success, I am one step closer to understanding what happened here.
